2. The key points at a glance
This website is deliberately lean: it sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third parties. The fonts are also hosted directly on this website's server. So when you visit, no connection is made to Google or any other external service.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hostinger, a service of Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The website is stored on servers in Germany. When you visit the website, the server automatically records information that your browser transmits (so-called server log files):
- IP address
- date and time of access
- page or file accessed
- referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- browser and operating system used
This data is technically necessary to display the website to you and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website. The log files are only stored for as long as necessary for secure and trouble-free operation and are deleted afterwards; the exact retention period is determined by Hostinger as the hosting provider. Longer storage only takes place if it is required to investigate a security incident. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
4. Contact by email
If you write me an email – directly or via the enquiry form – I process the information it contains (for example your name, your email address and the content of your message) in order to answer your enquiry.
The enquiry form on this website does not transmit any data itself. It merely opens your email app with a prepared message, which you then send yourself.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). I delete your data as soon as it is no longer needed to process your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations prevent this.
For emails, I use the Outlook.com service of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out. You can find more information in Microsoft's privacy statement.
5. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services.
6. Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- access the data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR)
- have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). For anything concerning your data, an informal email to me is all it takes.
7. Encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser's address bar.
8. Last updated
Last updated: October 2026. I update this privacy policy as soon as the website or the legal requirements change.
